Gilles Babinet
“The challenges of intellectual property”

France’s “digital champion” at the European Commission Gilles Babinet explored the issues of intellectual property and photography, in particular the opportunities afforded by the digital economy. His proposals served as a fine counterpart to Daniel Barroy’s opening remarks, and set the stage for a future conference: Babinet places photography at the center of the questions of ownership and the digital economy.
