Founded in 1903, Omega SA is a Swiss luxury watch company based in Biel, Switzerland. The brand has been owned by the Swatch Group since 1998. Thanks to its longevity, notoriety and rich history, the prestigious brand is one of the major companies in the Swiss watch industry.
To celebrate summer, Omega contacted Ooshot to shoot the Seamaster collection. The goal was to produce sunny visuals for Instagram. Our client wanted to produce underwater visuals as well as visuals with lavender, which is an important element for an Asian audience. Asia being an important market for our client, lavender imposed itself as evidence.
Therefore, we needed to suggest locations suitable for this type of shooting and put together a whole creative team of local talents: photographers with expertise in both underwater photography and luxury watch shootings, videographers, models and a set designer.
The shooting had to be organized and take place remotely because the client could not leave Switzerland at the time. Indeed, the shooting was taking place during a period of sanitary crisis where Swiss borders were still closed. So, we needed to work with a local team remotely.
Sun, summer and beach were the key words for this campaign and after analysis we recommended to shoot in Marseille and Cassis.
The first day of shooting took place in Cassis, in a villa by the sea with private access. The second day of shooting took place in a lavender field an hour away from Marseille.
In order to select members of the creative team, we queried our database and thanks to our tech tool called “Smart Search”, we were able to filter thousands of talents in no time. Among hundreds of French photographers specialized in shootings of luxury watches, we selected two talents capable of working with complex reflection and lifestyle problematics.
Likewise, we selected professional videographers who were the most suitable for this sunny shooting. Thanks to our expertise and know-how, we were able not only to find the local creative team in the South of France, but also manage them remotely from our HQ in Paris.
At the same time, the Swiss client who could not be there was able to monitor and supervise the shoot remotely. Ooshot managed to complete the challenge of rather complicated shooting, given the context of the health crisis and the absence of an artistic director on site.
We delivered twelve photos for Instagram posts, six with a farniente atmosphere and six in a diving style.
For Instagram stories we delivered 16 additional images and three short videos. We also produced a long video for broadcasting on Youtube.
