The Senate is one of the two chambers that form the French Parliament. Composed of 348 senators elected by indirect universal suffrage for a six-year term, it is renewed by half every three years. In accordance with Article 24 of the Constitution, the Senate ensures the representation of local authorities and participates in the legislative process alongside the National Assembly. It oversees government action and evaluates public policies. To guarantee the separation of powers, the Senate has regulatory, financial, and administrative autonomy, allowing it to fully carry out its institutional mission.
Ideation and design of the launch campaign for the celebration of the Senate’s 150th anniversary through two events in 2025.
For the first project: Artistic direction and curation of the photographic exhibition entitled ‘The Senate from A to Z’ on the railings of the Luxembourg Gardens, accompanied by a catalogue retracing the history and missions of the Senate through a unique visual lens. The photographs used come from the Wipplay.com collection, offering contemporary perspectives on the institution.
For the second project: conception and illustration of three outdoor modules for an immersive exhibition in the heart of the Jardin du Luxembourg entitled ‘Le Parcours de la Loi’ (The Path of the Law).
